The Project
This project was a team project. The team was composed of seven students from the graphic design department. The goal of the project was to create a new brand identity, with the help and support from the Mercedes-Benz Financial Services team, for Community Living Centers (CLC). CLC is a non-profit founded in 1968 to care for developmentally disabled adults. The final design recalls the long history of the founder Mary Wagner and embodies the residents, families, and staff within the CLC community.
Logo
We created the final logo in a long and short form a combination to be used for formal and informal situations. Community Living Centers does several annual charity events each year to raise money for the center. We created alternative logos to be used for those events, as well as, a 50th anniversary logo to celebrate that milestone.
Alternative Logo Animations
We created alternative logos for special events that happen annually for Community Living Centers all of which are also animated.
Web Design
The website before was complicated and needed to be streamlined. We took what we believed to be the main areas of focus for Community Living Centers and showcased them so they were easily accessed on the website. This also allowed for Community Living Centers to showcase their residents and the fun activities they get to do.
Main Logo Animation
We believe that logos should be versatile and allow room for them to be animated. Along with the music the logo creates a fun, and shining light on who Community Living Centers is.
Stationary Set
Working within the color palette, each item has room to showcase a little different personality to each business card, letterhead, folder, or pen.
Additional Promotional Design
We also created additional items that the brand could be applied to including water bottles, notepads, mugs, environmental. We also wanted to show a consistent look and feel across all platforms like social media and throughout the website.
